Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift – 3x12 Hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Weekends and holidays included.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal issues, general surgery, and orthopedics.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care, monitoring patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments, including insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient education and emotional support.
• Float to similar acuity units as needed based on patient census.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current and active RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a Med-Surg or telemetry setting.
• Experience with insulin and heparin protocols, as well as IV medication administration.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment alongside RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and other support staff.
