Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides professional cardiac care nursing to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Demonstrates competence in clinical judgment, patient education, and team collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, adhering to established standards and protocols.
• Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures involving cardiac conditions.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac health, medications, and postoperative care.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret data, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Document patient information thoroughly, ensuring compliance with medical recordkeeping requirements.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Possess a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• Demonstrate at least one year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in cardiac care.
• Hold current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to react calmly during emergencies.
• Have knowledge of clinical procedures, safety protocols, medical terminology, and coding guidelines like ICD-10 and CPT.
