Nephrology Nurse Practitioner

Location: Burlington, MA

Seeking an experienced and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its multidisciplinary Kidney Transplant Program . This role focuses on co-managing kidney transplant recipients and living donor kidney patients within a respected academic teaching facility.

You will work closely with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, advanced practitioners, and house staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Under the direction of an attending physician, responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive preoperative, postoperative, and ongoing medical care in the outpatient setting

• Developing and implementing diagnostic and treatment plans

• Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies

• Providing consultation services for nephrology and transplant patients

• Prescribing and managing medications within scope of practice

• Educating patients and families on transplant care and treatment plans

• Providing inpatient consult coverage as needed

• Flexible, motivated, and team-oriented

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity academic environment

• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Committed to high-quality transplant and nephrology care

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)

• Active Massachusetts license and appropriate national certification

• Eligible for or active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration

• Minimum of 1 year of Advanced Practice experience required (3 years preferred )

• Annual salary range: $133,120 $215,000

Compensation is based on experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and job responsibilities, in accordance with applicable laws.
