Phlebotomist - On-call

Description SCHEDULE: On-call; Schedule dependent on department needs Performs various waived or moderate complexity testing in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, blood banking, immunology, and urinalysis. He/she receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis and prepares specimens for reference laboratory. Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of results. Assists in the clerical duties of the lab and assists the medical technologists. The Phlebotomist is under the direction of the Laboratory Director and the supervision of the general supervisor. Requirements No experience is necessary. On-the-job training available. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred and documentation of training appropriate for testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens. Basic computer knowledge preferred.
