Processing Operator

PROCESSING OPERATORS - Day Shift (7:00am-7:00pm) Work approximately 15 days a month on a rotating schedule. Responsibilities Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers. Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assemblies. Inspect containers using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques. Pack containers into boxes/cartons at production-line speeds; stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units. Operate lift trucks to move materials. Collaborate with team to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment. Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware). Fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders. Maintain and adhere to GMP and SQF compliance requirements. Maintain Food Safety Compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Excellent attendance. Good housekeeping skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of product identification and basic math skills. Forklift experience. Perform all duties safely and effectively. Physical mobility: walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds periodically. Work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms. Complete routine paperwork accurately. Work with automated equipment. Operate a scanner. Will be able to work overtime as needed.
