PROCESSING OPERATORS - NIGHTS (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Overview PROCESSING OPERATORS - Night Shift (7:00pm-7:00am) Work 15 days a month with a rotating schedule. Bi-weekly schedule: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday; then the schedule starts over. Operate stretch blow molding machines and lift equipment, inspect and pack rigid-plastic PET containers, and perform scheduled charting and inspections on machines and associated equipment. Responsibilities Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers. Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and/or tightening of machine assemblies. Perform container inspections using test equipment, statistical quality methods, and visual inspection techniques. Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications and stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units. Safely operate lift trucks to move materials. Contribute as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment. Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware). Willing to fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders. Maintain and adhere to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements. Adhere to Food Safety Compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Excellent attendance. Good housekeeping skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of product identification and basic math skills. Fork-lift experience. Ability to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner. Physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically). Ability to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms. Ability to complete routine paperwork accurately. Experience working with automated equipment. Ability to operate a scanner. Ability to work overtime as needed.
