Registered Nurse (RN) - In-Patient Wound Care - Days

Role Overview A Registered Nurse consultant specializing in wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care, supporting the wound care team in assessing and managing patients at risk for or with pressure injuries, drainage, fistulas, or altered skin integrity. Key Responsibilities Manage patients with draining wounds, fistulas, or skin issues related to pressure necrosis, drainage, or incontinence. Provide In-Service Programs for nursing and medical staff to enhance wound care practices. Serve as a resource for inpatients and outpatients with previous ostomy surgery. Educate patients undergoing ostomy surgery on care and management. Evaluate and recommend appropriate ostomy and skin care products, supplies, and practices. Maintain current knowledge in WOC nursing through ongoing education. Collect and document relevant data as required. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Qualifications & Skills RN licensure with a minimum of two years of experience in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing practice. Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree required. Wound Care Certification (WCC) and Ostomy Management Specialist Certification (OMS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Current BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
