Property Accountant

Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for a Property Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, organized, and has high attention to detail. This company offers flexibility, a laidback culture, and a collaborative team. This position can be hybrid after training is completed. The salary for this position is $70K - $85K. The Property Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly accounting close entries and financial statements. Reconcile bank statements, review accounts payable invoices, and actively manage accounts receivable and tenant collections. Review operating results against budgets and prepare variance analyses for management review. Prepare and review annual property budgets, quarterly/mid-year financial statements, and financial reforecasts. Review monthly tenant charges, enter non-recurring charges, and assist with tenant billing disputes. Prepare and review CAM, real estate tax, insurance, and other miscellaneous reconciliations. Support property onboarding, internal accounting controls, staff meetings, and department-related special projects. The Property Accountant will possess the following: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 1+ years of related experience; real estate industry experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new software systems. Experience with NetSuite, Yardi, and Kardin preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow up on open items through resolution. Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills and the ability to meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
