Job Title: Operator, Engineering Specialist (TS/SCI with Poly required) Job Code: 44192 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description We are seeking an experienced Operator / Engineering Specialist with a minimum of 6 years’ experience integrating and testing and providing training of a complex communications system. The successful candidate will be responsible for following detailed processes/CONOPs, integration of customized software and hardware in a quick paced, engineering oriented environment. This team member will maintain development, test and production environments while integrating new technologies and maintaining system stability. This team member will be on-site full time with ability and willingness to go on extended field assignments and travel often. Exceptional customer service skills to engage effectively with customer groups and internal teams, fostering a supportive and positive environment. Capacity to quickly learn and master complex technologies, including advanced system support equipment, and relay this expertise in accessible, practical terms. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with experience in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving system issues to maintain smooth operation. Experience working with cross-functional design teams to stay up to date on system updates, gather insights, and incorporate feedback into training content. Essential Functions Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test, including loading custom and commercial software onto multiple systems Builds, configures, troubleshoots, and integrates new and existing configuration items (hardware) packages to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades Responsible for configuration hardware, mastering the system process, and training others to successfully use the system. Long periods of travel is required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is required. Preferred Additional Skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative lab environment, partnering with cross-functional team members to support assembly, testing, troubleshoot issues, follow lab procedures, and maintain a safe, organized, and productive workspace. Engineering principles, especially verification/validation.
