Location: Plainfield, IN 46168
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM
Pay Rate: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

The  Warehouse Team Lead works closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team of approximately 45–55 warehouse employees . This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring production lines operate efficiently while maintaining a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or distribution leadership experience and be comfortable managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager in supervising and leading a team of approximately 45–55 employees .
• Monitor daily workflow to ensure production lines are operating smoothly and efficiently.
• Lead by example by working alongside the team and assisting on the warehouse floor as needed.
• Ensure employees follow procedures, meet productivity expectations, and complete assigned tasks.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members throughout the shift.
• Assist with coordinating staffing and assigning employees based on operational needs.
• Promote teamwork, safety, productivity, and accountability.
• Help identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, workflow, productivity, and operational needs.
• Ensure company safety procedures and workplace standards are followed throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading a large warehouse team strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willingness to work on the warehouse floor and lead by example.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience is a plus.
• Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and twist while performing job duties.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Safely operate or be willing to learn warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. Certification may be required.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as business needs require.
