Find your future with us. **Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** is seeking a First Line Manufacturing Manager to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) Operations team in San Antonio, TX! **Position Responsibilities:** + Leads by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors + Leads, develops and motivates employees + Manages employees performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines + Supports the development and execution of integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives + Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements + Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports + Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes **First Line Leader Assessment:** To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership." + 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing + 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives + 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment + Ability to work any shift including weekends and overtime **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience in leading large scale / organizational change + Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience + 3+ years of experience in leadership, leading teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change + 3+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams + 3+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost **Conflict of Interest:** Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies _._ **Travel:** This position may require travel up to 25% of the time **Shift:** The candidate must be able to work any shift assigned **Total Rewards:** At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
