SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst (Engineer)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst (Configuration Engineer) for a contract opportunity in Huntersville, NC. This role is ideal for a hands-on SAP professional with strong ABAP development experience, deep EDI and IDOC troubleshooting skills, and practical experience supporting SAP ECC environments.

The SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst will work on meaningful SAP development, configuration, and integration activities across SD and MM business processes, with a strong focus on EDI transactions, Order-to-Cash workflows, and IDOC structures. This opportunity offers a collaborative technical environment, supportive project leadership, and the chance to contribute directly to business-critical SAP initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and support SAP ABAP objects within an SAP ECC 6.0+ environment.
- Support SAP EDI integrations, including mapping EDI transactions to SAP IDOC structures.
- Troubleshoot inbound and outbound IDOC issues, EDI errors, and integration failures.
- Work with SD and MM module processes, especially Order-to-Cash related workflows.
- Build and support ABAP enhancements, User Exits, BAPI/BADI, RFCs, ALV reports, Smart Forms, and SAP Script.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party EDI mapping or processing partners to resolve technical and functional issues.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $54.05 to $60.81 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Contract Duration: 9/29/2026 to 9/28/2027.
- Location: Huntersville, NC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform hands-on SAP ABAP development in SAP ECC 6.0+.
- Support SAP EDI and IDOC integration projects across SD and MM processes.
- Troubleshoot EDI transactions, inbound/outbound IDOCs, and SAP integration errors.
- Contribute to at least one full-cycle SAP ECC implementation or comparable enterprise SAP project.

- 3 to 5+ years of true hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in a professional business environment.
- Strong experience with SAP EDI and IDOCs.
- Hands-on experience with SAP SD and MM modules.
- Experience mapping EDI transactions to SAP IDOC structures.
- Solid understanding of Order-to-Cash processes.
- Experience with ABAP enhancements, User Exits, BAPI/BADI, RFCs, ALV reports, Smart Forms, and SAP Script.
- Experience troubleshooting inbound and outbound IDOCs and EDI errors.
- Experience working with third-party EDI mapping or processing partners.
- Ability to clearly explain personally developed, configured, troubleshot, or implemented SAP solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with EDI transactions 850, 855, 846, 856, and 810.
- SQL experience.
- Prior experience working in a selective, project-driven SAP environment requiring direct ownership of technical deliverables.
