Job Description Job Description Cardiac Electrophysiologist - Our Organization Full-Time | Main Hospital Campus (Arlington, VA) Our organization is in search of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to enhance our well-established cardiovascular program at the main hospital campus located in Arlington, Virginia. This position is a full-time, employed attending physician role that allows for the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused electrophysiology within a collaborative, community-oriented healthcare system in Northern Virginia. Position Overview The chosen candidate will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac electrophysiology services , focusing on the evaluation and management of patients experiencing complex cardiac arrhythmias. The Electrophysiologist will collaborate closely with general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and cardiovascular support teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based patient care. This role provides a well-rounded combination of procedural and clinical responsibilities within a modern cardiovascular program that enjoys robust institutional backing. Clinical Responsibilities Assess and manage patients with conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, and conduction disorders Conduct diagnostic electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures for both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias Implant and oversee cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices Provide outpatient electrophysiology consultations and ongoing follow-up care Conduct inpatient electrophysiology consultations and procedural care as necessary Interpret ambulatory monitoring studies and device interrogations Participate in shared call coverage with colleagues in cardiology and electrophysiology Document all clinical interactions in the electronic medical record while adhering to best practice guidelines Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship Completion of an ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia Strong clinical abilities with a focus on patient-centered and team-oriented care Position Highlights Full-time attending physician position (non-leadership) Established and expanding cardiovascular and electrophysiology program Combination of inpatient and outpatient clinical and procedural duties Collaborative cardiology team with a strong referral network Modern facilities equipped with advanced cardiovascular technology Employed role within an independent, high-performing healthcare system Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary with incentives based on productivity and quality Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off, CME allowance, and retirement plan options Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Relocation assistance may be available About Our Organization We are an independent, community-focused health system recognized for our dedication to safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
