Here's what you'll be up to:Implement Therapy Interventions: Deliver age-appropriate therapeutic interventions using play-based techniques, sensory activities, and exercises to improve fine and gross motor skills, daily living activities, and social participation.Monitor Progress: Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to meet the child's developmental goals.Family Education and Training: Provide guidance, resources, and training to parents and caregivers on techniques to support therapy goals at home, including exercises, adaptive strategies, and behavior management.Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for each child.Promote Sensory Integration and Regulation: Address sensory processing disorders through structured activities aimed at improving a child's ability to process and respond to sensory information.Support School Readiness: Prepare children for school by working on fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting), self-care tasks, and social skills necessary for classroom participation.Adapt and Recommend Assistive Devices: Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment, tools, and environmental modifications to enhance a child's independence and participation in daily activities.Maintain Documentation and Compliance: Complete accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and relevant regulations.Participate in Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning opportunities, staying updated on the latest pediatric OT practices, research, and techniques.Community Outreach and Education: Assist in organizing workshops, educational sessions, and support groups for families and community partners to promote awareness of pediatric occupational therapy services.Here's why Texarkana Therapy Center is the place to be:For over 15 years, Texarkana Therapy Center has been a beacon of hope for children and families in Northeast Texas.
