Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Required to work every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active Washington licensure to join our team in the NICU. This position is primarily focused on providing respiratory care to neonates in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting. The therapist will be expected to float between departments as needed and must be flexible with scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services in the NICU.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform necessary interventions.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Administer treatments such as CPAP and bilevel ventilation.
• Conduct assessments and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Washington State Respiratory Therapist license (required at the time of submission).
• Level 3 NICU or Level 2 adult ICU experience.
• 2 years of charge experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT.
