Sales And Marketing Specialist

We’re looking for someone to help us show up in the market consistently and keep our sales process moving — working alongside the founder and operations manager at a Raleigh based early stage company. This is a hands-on execution role. You’ll do the research and legwork that builds our pipeline: identifying practices worth pursuing, finding the decision‑makers inside them, building and maintaining target lists, and keeping our CRM accurate so nothing falls through. You’ll also turn ideas into finished work — a LinkedIn post that came out of a customer conversation, a one‑pager for a prospect, a case study built from a practice’s results, an email campaign that actually goes out on schedule. On the customer side, you’ll work closely with our operations manager to keep our existing practices happy: marketing and promotional materials they can use with their own patients, collateral for their front‑desk teams, and the small touches that make a practice glad they chose us. And because we’re four people, everyone pitches in. If a practice is visiting the office, you might be the one making sure the room is ready and there’s water on the table. We want someone who finds that energizing rather than beneath them. What You’ll Do Research medical practices and identify prospects worth pursuing, especially in dermatology and specialty care Build and maintain target lists; find the decision‑makers inside each practice Support outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn — including the persistent follow‑up that actually closes deals Own the CRM: keep prospect information, activity, and pipeline status current and accurate Coordinate sales meetings, send materials, and keep conversations moving forward Help prepare proposals, presentations, and customer‑facing materials Work with operations to create marketing and promotional materials for our existing practices Draft and publish social content that blends our founder’s perspective with your own voice and ideas Build and run ongoing email and drip campaigns Identify customer stories and develop them into case studies and other marketing content Create and edit everyday marketing materials in Canva or Adobe; keep our website current Coordinate with professional designers when a project needs more advanced creative work Use AI tools thoughtfully to research, draft, organize, and move faster Support conferences, events, customer visits, and other chances to introduce our company to the market Jump into the miscellaneous projects that come with building an early‑stage company What We’re Looking For You don’t need to be a career marketer or a career salesperson. You do need to know how to get things done, and you need enough experience to work without step-by‑step instructions. 2+ years of professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related role Exposure to SaaS or software sales — you’ve sold it, supported it, or worked close enough to it to understand how the business works Hands‑on with creative tools — Canva, Adobe, or similar. You don’t need to be a designer, but you should be able to make solid edits yourself rather than routing everything out Working knowledge of WordPress — enough to update pages, publish content, and not be afraid of the admin panel A strong writer who can take someone else’s ideas and turn them into clear, engaging content Organized and reliable with follow‑up; you don’t drop things Comfortable communicating directly with prospects and customers Experienced using AI tools as part of your everyday work Resourceful enough to research what you don’t know rather than waiting to be told Willing to travel occasionally for conferences and company events A big plus: background in healthcare, healthcare IT, or healthcare SaaS; existing industry relationships; experience with graphic design, video editing, or more advanced creative software. What This Role Is Really About This is a good fit if you’re a couple of years into your career, you’re competent, and you’re stuck doing the same three things every week at a company where that’s unlikely to change. Here you’ll touch sales, marketing, customers, and operations in the same week. You’ll work directly with the founder and see how a company actually gets built — the pricing decisions, the customer conversations, the things that work and the things that don’t. You’ll have real ownership over how we show up in the market, and the room to grow into something bigger as we do. You’ll also be close to work that matters.
