Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview The Village at Victory Lakes / Lindenhurst, IL. Weekend Differential $3.00 an hour. Sign-On Bonus (Full-Time Only): $3000. Full-Time and Part-Time shifts available. Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as established facility policies and procedures. Essential Functions / Key Duties and Responsibilities Direct daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates per regulations and company policies. Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures by nursing personnel. Participate in admission, discharge, and transfers of residents as required. Assess changes in resident status, notify physicians, family or representatives, and document accordingly. Transcribe physician orders to medical records and carry out orders as written. Prepare and administer medications per physicians' orders and observe for adverse effects. Perform wound treatments per orders, observe for changes, document accordingly. Schedule follow-up appointments and transportation as needed. Provide nursing leadership to assigned unit personnel. Provide direct care skills (colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc.) per current policies. Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and duties are performed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic resident care. Report incidents or unusual occurrences to community leadership. Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment; notify appropriate personnel. Initiate, review, and update care plans as required. Participate in survey processes when inspection surveys arise. Participate in QAPI activities as needed or assigned. Ensure infection control principles are followed and correct deficiencies in practice. Report allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, or mistreatment to supervisor and/or administrator. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies, procedures, and updates. Position Requirements Education A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Licenses/Certifications Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practicing state. Experience 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.
