**Job Description****UW Medical Center-Northwest - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Night Shift Registered Nurse**. **WORK SCHEDULE*** 36 hours per week* 3x12 shift schedule* Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)* Must be available to work weekend shifts**ABOUT OUR ICU*** We are a general mixed medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring* We offer 15 individual rooms for patients* We consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios* Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Provide life-saving care to patients* Join a close-knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers* Follow evidence-based nursing practices* Provide bedside for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes* Monitor and administer medications and IVs* Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect**REQUIREMENTS*** 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit* BLS* ACLS* Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State*Equivalent education or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license or certification.***ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST**UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
