Senior Business Affairs Manager

We're seeking a Senior BA Specialist who thrives at the intersection of creativity, production, and deal-making. This high-impact role sits at the center of integrated campaigns—spanning broadcast, digital, social, print, and experiential—where you'll help bring bold ideas to life. You'll partner closely with internal and client teams to guide projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring everything is structured, negotiated, and executed seamlessly, with an instinct for thinking beyond the obvious. This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week in our New York office. The salary for this role is between $120,000 to $150,000 What You'll Do Creative & Production Partnership Lead day-to-day client business affairs work Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review creative at every stage and advise on talent strategy, third-party rights (copyright, trademark, publicity rights), regulatory considerations, industry best practices, PR, and other implications Partner with legal counsel on trademark searches, contract strategy, and risk mitigation Guide teams on production frameworks, agency POVs, and client brand requirements Work closely with producers and vendors through bidding process Partner with cross-functional teams on estimates, assumptions, and contractual caveats Negotiate and execute third-party documents, including vendor and production agreements, talent and licensing contracts, insurance, and purchase orders Track and support active productions, ensuring alignment across stakeholders Proactively manage documentation and transitions across projects and accounts Talent, Music & Licensing Lead negotiations and deal structuring for celebrity and influencer talent, music licensing (original, licensed, and library), and intellectual property and other third‑party rights Own the full talent lifecycle, including estimating and strategy, contracting and sessions, usage and holding fees, and payment and renegotiation processes Ensure compliance with SAG‑AFTRA, ACTRA, and AFM (where applicable) Provide ongoing education and guidance to internal teams and clients on union and non‑union regulations, best practices, cost implications, and strategic considerations Draft and negotiate agreements across a wide range of assets, including footage, imagery, artwork, recognizable properties, and digital platforms, apps, and emerging media rights Financial & Risk Stewardship Advise on cost frameworks for talent, music, and licensing at the scoping stage Partner with finance and production on budgeting, actualization, and financial tracking Collaborate with insurance and risk management teams to evaluate production risk and liability Ensure alignment between vendor agreements, client SOWs, and master service agreements What You Bring 6–8+ years of Business Affairs experience within an advertising agency or production environment, with strong expertise in SAG‑AFTRA. Proven success negotiating complex talent, music, and third‑party agreements, with a deep understanding of the end‑to‑end production process from bidding through final delivery. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels; highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
