JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision, to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized. REPORTS TO: Administrator of Expanded Learning and Site Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 200 work days contracted
- 8 hours, five (5) days per week, according to current school schedules
- Classified Salary Schedule
- Basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment, computers and machines.
- Type accurately 30 words per minute
- Make accurate arithmetical computation
- Do clerical work involving independent judgment
- Work with students and staff cooperatively
- Take oral and written directions
- Paid or voluntary experience working in an office.
- High School diploma or equivalent to Twelfth Grade graduation.
- Posse or secure within six (6) months of employment a certificate for First Aid and CPR issued by the American Red Cross.
- Types letters, records, lists, labels, reports, case records, supply lists, requisitions, and other miscellaneous materials.
- Assists with attendance records.
- Keeps records/attendance for afterschool programs, independent study, and other categorical programs.
- Processes and coordinates the collection of yearly income verification forms.
- Collects, sorts, alphabetizes, arranges in numerical order; files and locates material; checks records, instructional materials and supplies.
- Makes lunch count; answers telephone, relays messages.
- Operates office equipment, computers and machines.
- Help children and parents as they come into the office.
- Administer routine first aid and request assistance for non-routine injury or illness.
- Incorporated within one or more of the previously mentioned essential functions of this job description are the following essential physical requirements (Percent 1-100):
- 5% Ability to bend and twist, kneel and stoop, run and crawl.
- 5% Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- 5% Ability to carry 50 lbs.
- 5% Ability to reach in all directions.
- 10% Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
- 15% Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- 15% Ability to see for purposes of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter and observing students.
- 20% Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
- 20% Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation.
- Other related duties as assigned.
