Project Executive

Project Executive Suffolk seeks a Project Executive to provide overall leadership and direction on construction projects. Responsibilities Provide leadership in business judgment and financial and profitability aspects of projects. Participate in the work acquisition process, defining and developing project budgets and schedules that meet profitability objectives. Set milestones and assign qualified staff for the scope and complexity of the project. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects, and subcontractors to exceed satisfaction standards. Oversee all necessary resources from start-up through closeout, ensuring budget, schedule, and quality goals are met or exceeded. Own the project from Pre‑Construction through Closeout and beyond. Project Acquisition: understand owner needs, represent Suffolk capabilities, assess project challenges, generate leads, contribute to RFP responses, and support contract negotiation. Project Start‑Up/Turnover/Pre‑Construction: assign project staff, approve pre‑mobilization activities, conduct turnover meetings, and lead budget and schedule development. Project Operations: ensure projects achieve budget, schedule, quality, and profitability objectives, maintain contract understanding, and monitor performance on site. People: monitor and evaluate staff assignments, develop the team, and assist with candidate sourcing, screening, coaching, and training. Financial Performance: manage cash, accounts receivable, accurate financial forecasting, and P&L with full understanding of contingencies. Schedule Performance: assist in developing the baseline schedule, monitor schedule performance, and initiate Lean Planning processes. Safety: champion job‑site safety efforts, motivate teams, and ensure budgeting for safety. Meeting Management: attend and chair project staff meetings and necessary owner meetings. Client Relationships: maintain continuous client contact, represent Suffolk, and provide performance feedback. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 10–15 years of construction management experience with a large‑scale general contractor or CM‑at‑Risk firm. Self‑perform experience is a plus. In‑depth knowledge of intricate commercial construction practices. Experience leading multiple successful project teams and developing direct reports. Compensation Information Expected salary range for this position in Las Vegas is $171,000–$253,000 USD, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
