Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse for a travel assignment in Sacramento. This role involves caring for postoperative recovery patients, primarily vascular, fem-pop, VATs, thoracic, and open belly surgeries, with experiences including CRRT and ECMO. The position requires working 12-hour day shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU nurse responsible for providing specialized patient care for postoperative recoveries, including line placements and monitoring complex cases such as CRRT and ECMO. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience with surgical patients involving advanced procedures.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS; valid license to submit; clinical experience of at least 2 years in ICU settings; ability to interpret EKG strips; and willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts starting at 6:45 AM, working every other weekend, with holiday rotation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postoperative vascular, thoracic, or abdominal surgeries; familiarity with Cerner charting system; and ability to work in a hospitalist or intensivist in-house environment.
• Additional Information: Unit notes specify that self-scheduling is used, with access to schedules from home, and that travelers may need to float to other Sacramento facilities. The role includes a floor-specific orientation of 1-2 days.
• Submission Requirements: Must provide a copy of the drivers license at time of submittal. Prior to signing the contract, candidates must complete the UNAS DYS exam within 24-48 hours, with results submitted along with a screenshot of the number of attempts.
