Scheduler

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized scheduler to join our dynamic home health agency. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining patient schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of home health services. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, handling schedule changes and proficiency in various scheduling systems. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage schedules for clinicians such as nurses, PTs and OTs. Ensure all visits are scheduled according to the physician's Plan of Care and monitor for missed or late visits. Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage and eligibility for services. Maintain accurate health information management records, ensuring compliance with regulations. Provide outstanding patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving scheduling conflicts promptly. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and schedules. Ensure adherence to HIPAA and agency policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a scheduler, preferably in a home health setting. Experience with EMRs such as Kinnser/Welsky. Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Ability to handle last-minute cancellations and staffing emergencies with composure.
