Role Overview
We are in search of a proficient and empathetic Ultrasound Technologist to integrate into our expanding team of imaging experts committed to delivering outstanding patient care. You will leverage advanced ultrasound technologies to conduct diagnostic examinations while collaborating with a compassionate team of clinicians, providing patients with reassurance and clarity through precise imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, clearly explaining each phase with kindness
- Work closely with radiologists and referring doctors to yield high-quality diagnostic images
- Handle and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions immediately
- Keep thorough documentation of procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and protocols
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area
- Completion of a program accredited by CAAHEP in Sonography is preferred
Necessary Certifications
- Valid certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Required
- Strong technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
