Attorney - Litigation

A well-established California litigation firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing team, offering a collaborative and flexible environment handling sophisticated matters, including a strong public entity defense practice. The firm is open to attorneys with 2+ years of civil litigation experience , particularly in Insurance Defense, Employment, or other civil litigation backgrounds. This position offers remote or hybrid work flexibility , with occasional in-person depositions and court appearances in the Riverside area for attorneys within commuting distance. Key Responsibilities: Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written work product Manage written discovery, subpoenas, and document review Take and defend depositions Participate in mediations, settlement discussions, and case strategy meetings Work closely with partners while independently managing an active caseload Represent public entities and other clients in complex civil litigation matters Qualifications: Active California Bar membership in good standing 2+ years of civil litigation experience Experience in Insurance Defense, Employment Litigation, Public Entity Defense, or other civil litigation practices is preferred Strong legal writing, discovery, motion practice, and deposition experience Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating with a litigation team Trial experience is welcomed but not required Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position ranges from $130,000–$200,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors.
