About the Position

Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/GI unit. The position requires 3 twelve-hour night shifts. Candidates must have experience with Epic charting. May be required to work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be included with the application. The facility may call off one shift every two weeks. Candidates must work one holiday during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates are also accepted within specified radius criteria. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates should have skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care. Experience with common IV medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin is required. Ability to provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration is essential. Candidates will be expected to utilize rapid response and code teams and adhere to isolation precautions. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 27. The unit operates without ventilators and may require working without CNA support. Floating to other segments within the skill set may be required. The ideal candidate will have previous charge experience. Experience in trauma level I settings is preferred but not required. Compliance documentation will be due prior to the start date. All applicants must provide a commitment confirmation. Previous travelers must have a separation period before reapplying. Modules will be non-billable if completed within the first 24 hours. Candidates with pending licenses may be accepted if they hold a single-state license from a non-compact state. Please ensure all qualifications are met before applying.
