Physician - Surgery - Ophthalmology

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery for a permanent opportunity with a growing, academic-affiliated ophthalmology program in North Carolina. Position details include a full-time schedule with rotating call coverage in a high-volume tertiary referral center with complex ophthalmic cases. The program is expanding and has a strong referral network from regional providers and community clinicians. The ophthalmology program is newly developing an ophthalmology residency program launching in 2026 and has a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic located near the hospital.

Clinical responsibilities include surgical and medical management of vitreoretinal diseases, outpatient clinic and surgical procedures, participation in teaching and resident education, and opportunities for research and academic involvement. Facility highlights include access to an ambulatory surgery center and advanced diagnostic and surgical technology.

Requirements include Board Eligible or Board Certified Ophthalmology, fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery required, interest in teaching and program development preferred, and an active North Carolina license (or ability to obtain).
