Project Need:

• Team middleware lead was acting as the MQ Admin. Backfilling that resource
• PHI remediation – reconfigure existing ques
• Wants this resource to pick up this remediation project and educate current team of MQ Admin tool functions
• Will not involve support or on call. This resource will have a very specific function and deliverable to accomplish
• Leadership from a shadowing and mentorship aspect

Deliverables:

1. Cluster New Queue Manager in with Existing Distributed QA Environment
2. Build Message Queues (Local and Clustered)
3. Move QA Cluster to Stage Cluster
4. Cluster distributed QA1 Environment into QA Environment
5. Provide Documentation of Clustering
6. Provide Documentation of Build
7. Provide Documentation of Move Cluster
8. Provide knowledge Transfer to Prime Employee

Top Skills:

• IBM WebSphere MQ Admin Tool: 5 or so years
• CI/CD concepts for automating this process
  • Ansible, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
• Source Control: Bit/BitBucket

Background:

• Previously completed a migration of MQ
• Automation knowledge
• Scripting: shell scripts and ansible playbooks for process layout
• RabbitMQ, Kafka, other App messaging tools are equivalent
