Platform Engineer, Product Team

Salary: $70,000 - 98,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent experience, along with 4+ years of mid-level experience.
• We look for proven experience developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• We need experience delivering DevSecOps implementations with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar automation tools.
• We require working knowledge of source version control and build/release tools and methods.
• We expect working knowledge of the software build process and how it applies in a production environment.
• We need a solid understanding of product lifecycles, platform architecture, and application containerization.
• Preferred qualifications include CISSP certification.
• Preferred qualifications also include advanced knowledge of specific product and platform architectures in secure environments.
• Experience with VMWare PKS Essentials is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA, AWS/Azure certifications, or Security+ are preferred.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and leading technical initiatives with cyber risk and compliance automation tools is preferred.
• An active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
• Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
• Physical requirements also include occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, and related resources.
• We need the ability to communicate frequently with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.

• We serve as the primary technical point of contact for onboarding product teams into the production environment.
• We maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot production environments using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMWare PKS Essentials.
• We work closely with the core Platform Team to align product team needs with platform capabilities and support seamless integration.
• We implement and manage DevSecOps pipelines and workflows using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar CI/CD technologies.
• We develop, test, and maintain containerized applications to support high availability, security, and performance.
• We oversee source version control and execute build/release methodologies effectively.
• We manage and optimize the software build process for multiple product teams.
• We document system configurations and deployment processes to maintain a strong technical knowledge base.
