Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Kalamazoo, Michigan

A busy retail pharmacy located on a major hospital campus in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support daily operations. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, ideal for those who prefer consistent weekday hours.

Responsibilities:

Verify and accurately fill 600 to 700 prescriptions daily in a fast-paced environment
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulations
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety information
Maintain accurate records in line with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management

Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Michigan
Michigan Controlled Substance License required
At least 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan (Bronson Methodist campus)
