Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950-$2,100
• Setting: Acute Care Facility / Hospital Social Work
• Start Date: 7/27/2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to a nearby Laguna facility
• Caseload: Approximately 20-23 patients

Job Requirements

• Master of Social Work (MSW) required
• Minimum 1 full year of acute care experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Pending California social work license accepted, but active license must be in place by start date if applicable
• Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care caseload
• Strong communication, care coordination, discharge planning, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and emotional support for patients and families in an acute care environment
• Assist with discharge planning and coordination of post-acute services, community resources, and transitional care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient care plans and smooth transitions of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards and healthcare compliance requirements
• Advocate for patient needs while helping address barriers to safe, effective, and timely care
• Support an assigned caseload while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and efficiency in a hospital setting
