Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Neuro (Neuro & Behavioral Health) Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7p-7a Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience License: KS or Multistate license Certifications: AHA BLS required; CPI and NIHSS are a bonus Must-Have: - Strong background in medical/surgical nursing - Ability to care for patients with neurological and behavioral health disorders - Flexibility to work every other weekend - Compliance with vaccination requirements Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in Med/Surg Neuro. Candidates must be able to provide care for patients with acute and subacute neurological conditions, including stroke and transient ischemic attacks. The unit also accommodates patients with medically unstable psychiatric illnesses, suicidal tendencies, and alcohol detoxification needs. Nurses will deliver high-quality patient care using clinical expertise and collaborative teamwork. Candidates should be prepared to float to other post-surgical and medical-surgical inpatient floors as needed. Staffing ratios are 1:6. Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive or inappropriate for a professional setting. Piercings must not interfere with job duties and must maintain a professional appearance. Immunity status for Hep B, MMR, and Varicella, either by titer or vaccination proof, is required. Documentation of TDaP and influenza vaccination or exemption is also needed.
