Job Summary: Network Security Analyst 1




- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents to protect critical infrastructure systems.
- Maintain security and integrity of systems by preventing unauthorized access and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize SIEM platforms (e.g., NetWitness, Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) and other security technologies for security monitoring and threat detection.
- Investigate and document security events, incidents, and potential threats using established guidelines and procedures.
- Work with technologies such as endpoint detection and response, IDS/IPS, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, email security, and cloud security solutions.
- Follow cybersecurity frameworks, incident response processes, and threat detection methodologies.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions; typically does not exercise independent judgment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective incident response and security operations.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and best practices in security monitoring and response.







Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GCIA, CSA, SC-200, or other GIAC/SOC-related certifications.







Required Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and platforms as specified above.
- Proven ability to triage and analyze security events and document investigations.
