Role Overview

Readiness & Response Operator Shift Supervisors lead the team that keeps the autonomous Robotaxi fleet ready for service. They oversee daily vehicle readiness and response activities, make sure the team meets productivity, quality, and safety standards, and step in hands-on with vehicle operations, equipment, and inventory. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented people leader who can run a shift smoothly in a fast-paced operational environment.

Day-in-the-Life & Key Responsibilities

• Shift Oversight: Run daily shift operations and make sure work is completed efficiently and to quality, productivity, and safety standards.
• Vehicle Readiness & Logistics: Confirm vehicles meet readiness standards before dispatch, support vehicle and equipment movement and storage, and manually drive company vehicles as needed.
• Inventory & Documentation: Support readiness documentation, spare parts availability, and inventory management.
• Team Leadership: Onboard new hires, set expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Issue Resolution: Serve as the main point of contact for shift concerns, resolve issues, and escalate significant problems to upper management.
• Quality & Safety: Act as the first level of quality control, conduct risk assessments, and keep the workshop clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant.
• Reporting & Improvement: Support data analysis and reporting, and drive continuous process improvements.

Candidate Profiles & Disqualifiers

Target Experience & Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: 1+ years of people leadership experience (supervising, coaching, and managing performance).
• Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to quickly learn technical subjects.
• Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets.
• Driver's License: Valid in-state (California) driver's license held for 3+ consecutive years with no gaps.
• Driving Record: Clean record with none of the following in the past 10 years: DUI/DWI, driving-related license suspension, serious at-fault accident causing injury or death, or two or more moving violations.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to quality and safety. Excellent written and verbal communication, collaborates well across teams, and is honest, responsible, and dependable.
• Travel: Able to travel for up to 5 weeks of training to Las Vegas, NV and travel locally as needed.

Preferred / Bonus Experience

• Prior experience with Git.
• Proficiency in Jira/Confluence.

Disqualifiers & Red Flags

• Wrong Profile:

o   No direct people leadership experience (for example, informal "go-to" team members who have never supervised, coached, or managed performance).

o   Uncomfortable with hands-on operational work, technical tools, or spreadsheets.

o   Poor attention to detail or difficulty following processes and safety procedures.

• Disqualifiers:

o   Less than 1 year of people leadership experience.

o   Does not hold a valid in-state driver's license, or has fewer than 3 consecutive years of licensure or any gaps.

o   Has any disqualifying driving history within the past 10 years 

o   Cannot pass the background check, MVR, or drug screen, or comply with the Substance Abuse Policy.

o   Unable to travel for up to 5 weeks to Las Vegas, NV of training starting on day one.

o   Cannot commit to one of the available shifts and schedules.

o   Poor communication skills or lack of interest in the role or company.
