Job Summary The Farmhouse Eatery Lockport is a new restaurant set to open October 1st of this year. Our brand is farm-to-table, polished casual, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In your role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook food items with precision, ensuring proper temperature and presentation standards are met Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, fryers, and food processors Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to prevent contamination Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Skills Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking skills within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Knife skills, slicing techniques, and familiarity with recipe adherence Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Good communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen team members A "clean as you go" mentality and dedication to high sanitation standards Demonstrated ability to maintain high safety standards during production and cleaning tasks Benefits Paid Training Felxible Scheduling Employee Discount Join us in creating exceptional culinary experiences!
