Senior Float Nurse Tech

About the Unit A float position offers the opportunity to cross‑train in Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB. This role allows you to develop a broader skill set and receive a pay incentive for float work. Scope of Work Take vitals, check blood sugars, and document results. Perform bed bathing, ambulation, wound care, and catheterization. Act as a safety attendant for patients. Clean patient environment, work area, and equipment; report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit. Maintain a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, including advocacy for privacy, confidentiality, and data security. Shift Night shift: 10:00p.m. to 6:00a.m., Monday through Friday. Total hours: 40 per week. Location Big Rapids Hospital – 605 Oak St – Big Rapids, MI. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
