Clinical Director – Residential Eating Disorder Program Full‑Time | On‑Site | ~75% Clinical / 25% Administrative About Cielomar Recovery Cielomar Recovery is a small, boutique residential eating disorder treatment program nestled in the coastal community of Moss Beach, California. We provide holistic, client‑centered care for individuals struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and related conditions. Position Overview The Clinical Director at Cielomar Recovery is a hands‑on clinician‑leader who remains deeply engaged in direct client care while guiding the clinical integrity of the program. This role is intentionally structured as approximately 75% direct clinical work and 25% administrative and leadership responsibilities. The Clinical Director carries an individual caseload, facilitates therapy groups, and participates fully in the life of the residential program, while also setting clinical direction, supporting the team, and ensuring high standards of care. This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a clinician who values meaningful therapeutic work, thoughtful leadership, and individualized care. Core Responsibilities Direct Clinical Care (Approx. 75%) Maintain a robust individual therapy caseload of residential eating disorder clients Facilitate process groups, psychoeducation groups, and specialty therapy groups within the residential schedule Provide comprehensive eating disorder assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical insurance review Deliver evidence‑based eating disorder treatment, including CBT‑E, DBT‑informed approaches, trauma‑informed care, and family or support‑system work as appropriate Maintain a strong therapeutic presence within the milieu, modeling attuned boundaries, clinical consistency, and compassionate engagement Collaborate closely with dietitians, medical providers, psychiatrists, and support staff to ensure integrated, whole‑person care Clinical Leadership & Program Stewardship (Approx. 25%) Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the integrity and consistency of eating disorder treatment across the program Support the clinical team through consultation, mentorship, and thoughtful guidance on complex cases Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and utilization reviews Ensure clinical care aligns with best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements Oversee clinical documentation quality, chart reviews, and quality improvement efforts Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical programming, policies, and procedures Foster a collaborative, grounded, and supportive clinical culture Model professionalism, curiosity, and clinical humility Support hiring, onboarding, and development of clinical staff Encourage ongoing learning and reflective practice within the team Collaboration with Leadership & Families Partner with executive leadership on admissions fit, census stability, and clinical outcomes Participate in admissions reviews to ensure appropriate level‑of‑care placement Support discharge planning and continuity of care Serve as a thoughtful clinical presence for families and referral partners as needed Licensure & Qualifications Required Active, unrestricted California license as one of the following: PsyD (or PhD in Clinical Psychology) Meaningful clinical experience in eating disorder treatment Experience providing direct care at a residential or higher level of care Preferred Experience facilitating therapy groups in residential eating disorder settings Comfort working within a small, collaborative program environment A grounded, relational leadership style Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Health benefits and paid time off A rare opportunity to combine deep clinical work with intentional program leadership in a boutique eating disorder setting How to Apply Please submit a resume and brief cover letter sharing your background in eating disorder treatment and your interest in a hands‑on clinical leadership role. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cielomar Recovery
