Assistant/Associate Health Sciences Clinical/Clinical X Professor/ Physical Therapist: Pediatric

The UCSF Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is seeking full-time member in the Health Sciences Clinical and Clinical X Professor series (at the rank of Assistant/Associate) to provide Physical Therapy services at the Outpatient Pediatric rehab clinic at Precision Cancer Medical building, with expertise and documented excellence in evidence-based pediatric practice preferred. The applicant will also support our UCSF/SFSU Graduate Program in Physical Therapy.

Outpatient pediatric rehab evaluates and treats children with developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions in a clinic setting. Treatments include targeted play-based exercises and therapeutic interventions to help children improve their mobility, strength, balance, and overall motor skills for greater daily independence.

The applicants for this position are expected to:

• Practice evidence based, high quality care
• Teach students in the clinical setting
• Represent our department within UCSF and the surrounding communities
• Maintain an active dialogue with UCSF referring providers and within the UCSF Health community

Basic Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a DPT degree from an accredited DPT Program
• Be board-certified or board eligible as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist
• Current CA State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of CA to practice
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-3 years clinical experience
• Pediatric outpatient experience

Academic rank and salary level will be based on the successful applicant's experience. Applications will be considered immediately and accepted until these positions are filled.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $183,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
