Janitor/Custodian

Essential Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for experienced cleaners who are willing to work full time or part time in the Columbia area. Starting pay varies by job site. Commercial Cleaning Cleans surfaces, public areas, elevators, escalators, seating areas, tables, windows, railings, floors, and restrooms Removal of trash can liners Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor Spot cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture Dust furniture and equipment Washes windows, door panels, and sills Transports trash and waste to disposal area Replenishes bathroom supplies Transports small equipment or tools Sweeping, dusting, moppingRole may require iOS or Android capability on personal cell phone to use quality assurance and timekeeping applications during work hours Other duties may be assigned Competency To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time Dependability- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan Safety and Security- Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
