ICU RN – Level I/II Trauma Experience Required

Position Highlights

• Strict 75-mile radius restriction
• 20-bed ICU
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2 , with frequent 1:1 assignments for high-acuity patients

Required Experience

• ICU or Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) experience
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers
• Strong critical care background with management of high-acuity patients

Patient Population

• Neuro patients with external ventricular drains (brain drains)
• Orthopedic trauma requiring traction
• Open-heart CABG (post-operative)
• Open abdomen patients, including bedside re-explorations
• Medical ICU overflow
• Complex renal patients requiring CRRT

Critical Care Skills

Experience with the following devices is highly preferred:

• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Impella
• EKOS
• CRRT (RN-managed at bedside)
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring

Upcoming Program

• ECMO program launching soon; unit will care for ECMO patients as the program expands.

Ideal Candidate

Seeking experienced ICU nurses from high-acuity Level I/II trauma centers who are comfortable managing complex surgical, neuro, cardiovascular, and renal critical care patients while working in a fast-paced, specialized ICU environment.
