Staff Accountant

Benefits Medical Dental Vision Short-Term/Long-Term Disability PTO Maternity Leave Addison Group is partnering with a well-established company in the logistics space to add a Staff Accountant to its accounting team. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership opportunities and exposure across general ledger accounting, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close. Responsibilities Post and reconcile daily banking activity and cash transactions Apply customer payments and support accounts receivable activity Manage credit card coding, processing, and reconciliations Assist with weekly payment processing and cash-related reporting Prepare month-end journal entries and support the monthly close Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and related entries Research and resolve discrepancies across AP, AR, and the general ledger Assist with monthly management reporting and financial analysis Develop and maintain Excel-based accounting schedules and reports Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve billing and accounting issues Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency Support special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Strong general ledger and month-end close experience Experience with billing, collections, or cash application is a plus Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Experience working within an ERP or accounting system Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound like you?
