The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics within our organization is seeking a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to enhance our team. Located at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital, our multidisciplinary group comprises physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists, and master's level clinicians dedicated to serving patients across a 25-county area surrounding the Capital District of New York.
Our team's responsibilities include:
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations and managing medical care for patients up to 21 years old facing a variety of developmental challenges, such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Developmental delays
- ADHD
- Learning disabilities
- Behavioral health issues, including anxiety
- Follow-up care for neonates
- Collaborating with pediatric specialists in psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology, and genetics
- Implementing recent innovations like a Medical Home for children with ASD, establishing a feeding team, and creating a "fast track" developmental screening process for children under five.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Board certification or eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
- A passion for developing innovative programs within the field of DB practice
- Experience or enthusiasm for teaching medical students and house staff
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations
The competitive salary range for the Assistant Professor position is between $190,000 and $198,000, depending on experience. Compensation for higher academic ranks will be discussed during the interview process.
