Associate Attorney

Our caseload includes a wide range of civil defense matters, such as premises liability, wrongful death, oil field accidents, car wrecks, underinsured/uninsured motorist (UIM) policies, home property damage, insurance coverage disputes, employment discrimination, conflicts of law, claims against estates, and complex trucking accidents. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception to resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Conduct factual investigation and discovery, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing relevant documents to support case preparation and strategy. Conduct legal research on case-specific issues, statutes, and regulations to support legal arguments and case strategy. Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents as needed for court proceedings and negotiations. Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Prepare and present oral arguments and evidentiary presentations in support of client interests. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management and client representation. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. 0-2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on civil litigation and insurance defense preferred. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify legal issues and develop creative solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service excellence.
