Torch Technologies Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist that will be responsible for performing basic accounting tasks in general or specialized accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This position will specifically maintain the Subcontractor module in Costpoint, gathering data and producing weekly subcontractor invoices in the Costpoint environment. Additionally, the selected candidate must maintain all pertinent business records to support any potential audits. The selected candidate will also interface with personnel from Torch's subcontractor vendors.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assists higher level accountants in a variety of accounting assignments including the preparation, analysis, review, verification and reconciliation of various records, financial reports and statements.

• Establishes and maintains accurate, detailed financial records.

• Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the AP function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures.

• Protect organization's value by keeping confidential information.

• Review and enter cash receipts daily.

• Review and process travel expense reports in accordance with Torch policies and the JTR.

• Assist with AP voucher entry when needed.

Qualification Requirements:

• US Citizenship.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience Is preferred.

• Related or equivalent experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

• General math skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.

• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Excellent data entry skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.

• Effective organizational, stress and time management skills.

• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently or as a team member.

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Workday, and Deltek Time and Expense highly desirable.
