RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader or experienced associates in the area.

• Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized.

• Set up, adjust and operate all type of CNC equipment in the facility.

• Verify CNC program integrity after operating the equipment.

• Perform changes to the CNC programs

• Operate the equipment for new CNC programs to validate the first part and provide feedback to the CNC programmer.

• Measure and install tools into equipment

• Perform self-inspection for the parts resulted from the machining operation.

• Work from blueprints, sketches and process control documents.

• Responsible for quality of parts produced.

• Responsible for documentation and identification generated or related to production of the job.

• Work within close tolerances.

• Work in a safe manner.

• Follows Company’s Compliance requirements.

• Maintains and improves the quality management system.

• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

• Regardless of other duties, the CNC 5-Axis Operator has a responsibility to follow LUFKIN production, safety, and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education and Training: High school or as deemed sufficient by management

• Technical Requirements: good computer skills; ability to operate all CNC equipment in the plant; basic CNC programming knowledge; ability to use measurement instruments; ability to read drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations; ability to read and interpret routine instructions; good communication skills, good product and internal processes knowledge.

• Experience: At least 5 years work experience in the area, or as deemed sufficient by management
