Job SummaryShambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a 2nd Shift Welder in our Fire Fabrication shop. In this position, you will be responsible for using a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and drawingsTake measurements to plan layoutsSet up welding machine according to specificationsWeld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positionsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyTest all machine welds to ensure qualityWeld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die testOther duties as assignedQualifications4+ years of welding experienceRead a tape measurePipe welding and welding certificates a plusBe dependableGood attendance and a positive attitude are critical for this positionGood work ethic and a willingness to learnMust be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written formMust be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed).Must be 18 years or olderAttention to detailAbility to follow directions and communicate with othersAbility to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shiftsAbility to pass a drug testRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as requiredBenefitsWe are committed to providing Shambaugh & Son employees and their families with a comprehensive benefits package.
