Salary Range

• Less than 1 year: $29.56 – $31.04/hour
• 2–3 years: $32.52/hour
• 4–5 years: $33.99/hour
• 6–7 years: $35.47/hour
• 9–10+ years: $36.95/hour
• 12+ years: $40.65/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. The Respiratory Therapist will perform diagnostic testing, administer respiratory treatments, monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and respond to emergency situations.

The position is open to both experienced respiratory therapists and qualified new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patients' respiratory therapy needs and responses to treatment.
• Administer respiratory care therapies, including:
  • Oxygen delivery
  • Aerosol medication delivery
  • Chest physiotherapy
• Assist with the placement of artificial airways.
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients for therapeutic responses to respiratory treatments.
• Notify providers and take appropriate action when unintended or adverse responses occur.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergency patient situations.
• Maintain airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation when required.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation in accordance with department standards.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Certificate Program.

Licensure & Certification:

• NBRC credentialing required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license/registration as required by the state.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support): Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Must be obtained within 90 days of employment start.

Experience

• Open to candidates with varying levels of experience.
• CRT or RRT candidates may be considered.
• New graduates may be considered.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to provide safe, effective respiratory care are required.
