P-Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their movement, manage pain, and prevent disability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with the elderly population and making a positive impact in their lives. Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue their rehabilitation at home.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
