Location & Schedule Location: Geisinger Healthplex State College • Shift: Days • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 • Worker Type: Regular • Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary Provides audiological diagnostic and rehabilitative care to patients. Responsibilities Administer standard audiometric battery of tests including air conduction, bone conduction, speech reception threshold, and speech discrimination tests. Conduct electrophysiologic testing. Provide rehabilitative care including counseling, hearing aid evaluation, orientation, and training. Consult and test for the infant screening program. Offer services in aural rehabilitation (e.g., cochlear implants, osseointegrated hearing aids). Perform tinnitus and central auditory processing evaluation and counseling. Record procedures and results in patient records; record charges; communicate with others regarding patients. Oversee clinical work of Audiology Technicians and may supervise graduate students. Consult with other departments and make referrals as appropriate. Report malfunctioning equipment to the Manager and perform minor equipment repairs. Provide in‑service training by planning, organizing, and participating in community education activities. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Audiology (required). Experience: Certified and licensed as an Audiologist. Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence within 6 months – American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA).
