Content Creator - Hospitality (Photo + Video) Bring Our Restaurant Brands to Life Union Joints is looking for a creative storyteller with a passion for photography, videography, and social media (and food!) to join our media team. If you love capturing incredible food photography, creating engaging Reels and TikToks, and finding authentic moments that make people want to visit a restaurant, we’d love to meet you. You’ll create content across multiple restaurant brands while working closely with our Media Marketing Manager, who leads overall marketing strategy, campaigns, and brand initiatives. Your focus will be bringing those strategies to life through exceptional visual content and social storytelling. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys being behind the camera, staying on top of social trends, and creating content that feels real, fun, and engaging. What You’ll Do Photography & Video Content (Primary Focus) Photograph food, beverages, interiors, team members, events, and guest experiences across multiple restaurant brands Capture high‑quality lifestyle photography that reflects each restaurant’s unique personality Shoot engaging short‑form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and other social platforms Edit photos and videos optimized for social media Plan and execute content shoots both in restaurants and at special events Bring fresh creative ideas for showcasing new menu items, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and everyday moments Capture authentic content that helps guests experience the personality behind each brand Social Media Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms Write engaging captions that reflect each restaurant’s unique voice Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats Use performance insights to help improve future content Partner closely with the Media Marketing Manager to execute marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions Collaborate with operations teams, chefs, bartenders, and restaurant managers during content shoots Work alongside our Graphic Designer to create cohesive marketing campaigns Contribute creative ideas that strengthen each brand’s online presence What We’re Looking For Strong photography skills with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling Experience creating engaging short‑form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok Comfortable editing both photography and video using Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends Excellent written communication and caption writing skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple brands and content shoots Comfortable working in a fast‑paced restaurant environment Willingness to travel between Metro Detroit restaurant locations Bonus Points If You Have Experience creating content for restaurants, hospitality, food, beverage, or lifestyle brands Experience working with influencers or creator partnerships Motion graphics or basic graphic design experience A passion for food, hospitality, and local culture Please include a portfolio showcasing your photography, videography, social media content, or other creative work. We’d love to see examples of your ability to tell stories through visuals.
